Living the Dream

I had one of those "pinch yourself" moments the other day. Owning my own miniature doll studio and creating what I like when I want to is a dream come true! Sure I work hard and long at times but hey, who's luckier than me to do what I love and mix it up as play time with a purpose! 

How many lucky ones do you know like that....love what they do, have a passion for what they do and keep inventing miniature art creations that others enjoy and collect? It's a blessing, and I'm so very thankful for it.

Now I'm not sure how many other artists feel this way but I'll bet if we took a survey, the ones that do, look at their talent as it's meant to be used - to make others happy....even giddy at time!

Once Upon A Time.......

Many years ago a wise old Southern Auctioneer told my husband to "Buy Wood". He added that antique furniture would never go out of style in the right circles. 

In the miniature doll collector world, "Buy What You Love", is the saying, especially if it's a one of a kind treasure never to be duplicated, like all of mine are! I pride myself on the fact that all of my original creations would always be done by my hands with no molds of any kind used and no "off  the rack" costumes or identical fabrics or patterns repeated on my dolls

And that's how LoreleiBlu Miniatures came to be years back and will remain as so. Now a few hundred creations later I still have lots of ideas on characters that jump in my head and can't wait to be introduced to my loyal collector friends, the world over.

I'd like to introduce you one of my newest friends, Countess Ellen:

It's Summer, it's hot out....great time re-focus on a Favorite Time Of The Year

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World!

Seems not log ago that movie was a hit....and now all these years later I've created my own Mad world.....that of the Mad Hatter, full of wonder and whimsical fun. So here he is in all his glory:

Flowers are blooming at LoreleiBlu Miniatures!

I don't know about you but I absolutely love Spring.....new life, new creations, flowers a bloom, planting to do...sunshine, fresh air, it puts me in the perfect mood for finishing commissions and creating more of the fun stuff!

Time to create your Spring House

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you.....green tea for everyone! 

Happy to report the weather around most of the country says we're almost out of the woods, tundra or what ever has been challenging your commute!  I've been creating away in the BluMoon Studio and having quite a bit of fun designing new dolls and other one of a kind treasures with a flair.

Please let me introduce my Rose, the lady in waiting, to you:

Creating Rose, her hand made gown, baby cloths, rocking chair and footstool was truly a labor of love for me. One that brought back so many wonderful memories of years gone by...and those still to come.
