Valentine's Surprise....say it with a LoreleiBlu miniature!

Cupid is right around the corner! Many of my collectors gift themselves on Valentine's day with a miniature doll or that special piece of quirky doll house furniture or another original creation from my studio. Windup to Spooky Town!

It was just the other day that one of my collectors asked me where I come up with my ideas to create from the bazaar to the beautiful and all things in between. My answer.....my dreams lead my way!

I'm very fortunate to have a vivid imagination.....have had since I was a kid and I put it to work for me every time I sit at my studio console to create!. From the fantasy side of life to the real 40's and 50's I enjoy building my dreams in clay and then dressing them with lovely fabrics that compliment and tell the story of the character.

Here's another example....meet the one and only (drum roll please): 

I present Vampire Martine Ravenblood

From her Mad Hatters Hat to her micro bead button boots

Dessed in fine silk with all the special touches

Hair of black and silver viscose with removable hat and crystal topped cane

Why Not....I Would!

How much is too much? So you have multiple doll houses and room boxes...me too! And you feel like there's always room for a new friend to move into your miniature world...me too! No matter how hard you rationalize you know that the old "just one more" will become "I just need a bigger space to move my new collections into".

Well "what the dickens" you say.....me too! When it comes to collecting miniatures there's nothing "mini" about wanting to grow your treasures and keep your world fresh and fun for all to enjoy. Having said that I'd like to introduce you to a Witch that's full of wonder and excitement.

Living the Dream

I had one of those "pinch yourself" moments the other day. Owning my own miniature doll studio and creating what I like when I want to is a dream come true! Sure I work hard and long at times but hey, who's luckier than me to do what I love and mix it up as play time with a purpose! 

How many lucky ones do you know like that....love what they do, have a passion for what they do and keep inventing miniature art creations that others enjoy and collect? It's a blessing, and I'm so very thankful for it.

Now I'm not sure how many other artists feel this way but I'll bet if we took a survey, the ones that do, look at their talent as it's meant to be used - to make others happy....even giddy at time!

Food - Friends - Furniture and Fun for the Holidays!

It's beginning to look a lot like filling collector's holiday purchases is the task at hand and my elves are working overtime to wrap and ship your treasurers out. We want  you to receive them so that you have them to place strategically under the tree or in your miniature world!

Tis' the season to remember all the grand times shared building your doll house or room box to thrill and amaze family and friends, or maybe just to please yourself...you've been good and deserve it!

I am pleased to introduce my latest creation, meet La Befana the Italian Christmas Witch:

As the story goes, the three wise guys were following the star and searching for the Christ child. They roamed from village to village to no avail so they stopped at La Befana's house and asked her to help in their search but she was too busy sweeping her floor. 

After they left she had a change of heart. La Befana bundled up gifts and flew off on her broom trying to find the Christ child as well. As she flew from village to village she gave her gifts to the children. Good children got sweets or fruit. The bad children got coal or onions.

La Befana, broom, gifts and all, is ready to fly into your miniature world and if you act now through December 20th. her flight to your world is FREE..

A Haunting We Will Go!

Show of hands...........who enjoys the last day of October as much as I do? Wow, look at all the hands up and the huge smiles on your faces, that's the spirit, literally. 

With "All Hallows' Eve" fast approaching I've picked up my magic wand and created some new friends. Meet one such new star, the Countess:

Vampire Countess Luna Moondragon

Luna is dressed from head to shoes in luscious silk

I hand painted her underskirt and bodice then applied tiny handmade roses to her gown.

Vampire Countess Luna Moondragon also has on black silk bloomers with a black lace petticoat, beautiful purple silk slippers with lace and silk ribbon accents, rings on both hands, a lovely bracelet, tiny earrings and aubergine silk hair. To top off her one of a kind style I created a pewter skull walking stick and a specially made fan. She is the perfect Countess of royalty to bring any doll house or room box to life!

This Bed is for the Birds!

My shop is buzzzzin with the sound of new creations being moved to the shelves inside as we reach record temperatures outside the LoreleiBlu Miniatures studio in beautiful Las Vegas Nevada!

And the beauty of this time of year is that my focus is mixed between unique One Of A Kind doll house beds and my new doll creations that enjoy relaxing and sleeping peacefully on/in them.

One of my latest such crafted works of art is what I call The Raven Bed:

Comes alive with the Raven skull watching over the master,

As the room darkens the clouds....

........moon and stars come alive,

And all GLOW in the dark of night!
