Valentine's Surprise....say it with a LoreleiBlu miniature!

Cupid is right around the corner! Many of my collectors gift themselves on Valentine's day with a miniature doll or that special piece of quirky doll house furniture or another original creation from my studio. That way they get just the right addition to their miniature world. And at the same time they make it easy on their loved one who might be stumped by what to get them!

Here are two more new treasures just added to my world of original one of a kind miniature creations:

Introducing my Marie Antoinette Bed....oh my!

A beauty in fine silk, ribbon and antique lace

Ready for one of my special dolls to slip in and settle

And here's my sitting bench, also in silk with classic braiding and pillows

The Marie Antoinette bed and bench

At the LoreleiBlu Studio, our goal is to create unique and exciting miniatures that turn heads, make the right statement in your miniature world and add to the pleasure you receive from collecting month after month through trained eyes for timeless quality.

The Marie Antoinette bed and bench are part of my 2019 creations. You can view more  in my Etsy shop, where there's always a surprise to open your eyes and bring delight to your miniature fashion fantasy.

Pheasant Under Glass...........nope, A SKULL!

Although creating dolls is my favorite artistic passion I wanted to mix up my studio production time  so I started creating skulls in  glass domes (sounds like a new TV Sci-Fi series).

Sculpting each doll from a solid block of polymer clay (no molds used, ever, to create my dolls) and making them poseable are major talents I use in my creative process. That, along with full original costuming breathes life into my OOAK characters. However.....halloween time is perfect to add new products for my collectors.

With my Skull in a Glass Dome series, I distress each skull one at a time and design a personality for these wonderful resin skulls (from Cathy's Minis). My vision starts from the neck up which forces my creative process to totally focus on styling hair, neck and facial dressings to achieve the look I'm going for. And boy do I have fun at my studio "beauty shop" designing them!

Here are a few examples of OOAK fantasy skulls I've created:

Lucy the Vampire from Bram Stoker's Novel - Dracula

Marie Antoinette

Life of the party - Marie and her beautiful hair style

Mermaid Skull

Mermaid Skull (close up) - A Real Conversation Piece

Dia Los Mueros Skull

Imagine how fun it will be to decorate a room in your doll house or room box with an original Skull in a Glass Dome this Halloween. There's time to do it if you move quickly. Visit LoreleiBlu Miniatures on Etsy

Make your Halloween doll house collection very special now and for years to come with a little of your own skullduggery.........in a glass dome, priceless!

Witchy Woman......Your Time is Now!

Three weeks from today the streets will be teaming with screaming kids and parents alike. Another Halloween is almost here and what a treat it is for tricksters, fortune tellers, witches, ghouls and your favorite super hero goblins.......yummy!

It's a day where I could be anyone or anything I wanted to be. Maybe a princess....or a hobo riding the rails...or a cartoon character...or my favorite actor - villain or hero. The world was my stage and I so loved playing all the parts. And years later I turned my love for fantasy, mystery and the element of "I can be anyone I want to be" into my miniature creations. It's all at my fingertips and I sure do have fun creating for me...and for my collectors.

Here is an example.......meet Chloe:

Here is my friend Chloe Dragonflower

Chloe is a Fortune Teller Witch who can read your mind

Chloe is a reader of life, past and future and she'll share her findings with you
(on sale in my Etsy Shop, along with many other special-talent friends)

Her tools of the trade are her sixth sense, tarot cards,Ouija board and all of life's lessons she has experienced through her years of uncovering the answers to the questions many of us have.......haunting, isn't it!

Please visit my LoreleiBlu Miniatures on Etsy  and share it with your friends, they'll thank you for it and I thank you in advance!

Angry Housewives Series - Miniature dolls

Lettie Makepeace is the first in the collection of Angry Housewives. They are all 1940's style. Lettie is the spokesperson on my LoreleiBlu Miniatures shop on Etsy.com. Formerly, West Of The Blu Moon Studio, LoreleiBlu, I wanted to simplify the name and give the shop a fresh new look. We now can be found by LoreleiBlu Miniatures or LoreleiBlu. Stop by and see what's new. I'm trying to list at least one new creation every Friday afternoon. Remember, it takes many hours and days of work to create one item so please be patient as I may run over a day or 2. Also if you ever have an idea for a character doll for me to create, please send me a message. I love hearing from my followers about what they would love. Thank you ll for liking my page an for your wonderful comments. If you haven't "LIKED" my page yet...please take the time to do so. I would greatly appreciate it. When I get over 200+ likes I will do a doll give away contest as a thank you. Here's to making 2016 a great year for LoreleiBlu! I can't do it without you.

Welcome to the magic and imagination of West of the Blu Moon Studio where my creative visions become reality!

Enter this magical place over the moon where LoreleiBlu lovingly creates figures and miniatures from her imagination and flights of fancy.

My miniature accessories are sculpted in polymer clay and given an old patina to make them look like they have been experiencing a life of their own for many years while waiting for you to find them.

I use very old bits of lace and material acquired over many years of collecting. If only these special pieces could talk. I love to give my beds and other furnishings life by using these very precious finds.

All of my art dolls are 5 1/2"  tall and have hand painted or meticulously crafted eyes.
Each of my creations are OOAK, signed originals and will NEVER be duplicated.  Every one comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Please contact me for information regarding commissions.

Please note my dolls are not intended for children .   All figures, designs and photos are OOAK art dolls and are Copyrighted by LoreleiBlu.

Enjoy,
LoreleiBlu
