Windup to Spooky Town!

It was just the other day that one of my collectors asked me where I come up with my ideas to create from the bazaar to the beautiful and all things in between. My answer.....my dreams lead my way!

I'm very fortunate to have a vivid imagination.....have had since I was a kid and I put it to work for me every time I sit at my studio console to create!. From the fantasy side of life to the real 40's and 50's I enjoy building my dreams in clay and then dressing them with lovely fabrics that compliment and tell the story of the character.

Here's another example....meet the one and only (drum roll please): 

I present Vampire Martine Ravenblood

From her Mad Hatters Hat to her micro bead button boots

Dessed in fine silk with all the special touches

Hair of black and silver viscose with removable hat and crystal topped cane 

Martine Ravenblood is another very special OOAK Vampire Witch that I so enjoyed creating for your special doll house, room box, castle or witch's cottage. Countdown to Spooky Town!

I can almost smell the special Witch's brew bubbling....how about  you? A little over a month before All Hallows' Eve and my staff is excited for you! There are many choices to spooky-up your miniature mansion, from witches and vampires to their furniture and accessories...my studio is full with wonderful one of a kind creations to haunt and delight.

Here's a doll of different personalities, meet Hecate' Dragonblood. You won't find her anywhere else in the world other than in my studio. She's another LoreleiBlu handmade original:

She's is actually scary...but fun at the same time!

With a split skull and hands trying to get out of her face, she looks like something out 

of American Horror Story but she's 100% original

Hecate' is dressed to thrill, comes with hat, broom and all the bits and bobs that adorn her outfit. Like all of my one of a kind creations she is fully poseable and can fly to your world in no time

Why Not....I Would!

How much is too much? So you have multiple doll houses and room boxes...me too! And you feel like there's always room for a new friend to move into your miniature world...me too! No matter how hard you rationalize you know that the old "just one more" will become "I just need a bigger space to move my new collections into".

Well "what the dickens" you say.....me too! When it comes to collecting miniatures there's nothing "mini" about wanting to grow your treasures and keep your world fresh and fun for all to enjoy. Having said that I'd like to introduce you to a Witch that's full of wonder and excitement.

Living the Dream

I had one of those "pinch yourself" moments the other day. Owning my own miniature doll studio and creating what I like when I want to is a dream come true! Sure I work hard and long at times but hey, who's luckier than me to do what I love and mix it up as play time with a purpose! 

How many lucky ones do you know like that....love what they do, have a passion for what they do and keep inventing miniature art creations that others enjoy and collect? It's a blessing, and I'm so very thankful for it.

Now I'm not sure how many other artists feel this way but I'll bet if we took a survey, the ones that do, look at their talent as it's meant to be used - to make others happy....even giddy at time!

Once Upon A Time.......

Many years ago a wise old Southern Auctioneer told my husband to "Buy Wood". He added that antique furniture would never go out of style in the right circles. 

In the miniature doll collector world, "Buy What You Love", is the saying, especially if it's a one of a kind treasure never to be duplicated, like all of mine are! I pride myself on the fact that all of my original creations would always be done by my hands with no molds of any kind used and no "off  the rack" costumes or identical fabrics or patterns repeated on my dolls

And that's how LoreleiBlu Miniatures came to be years back and will remain as so. Now a few hundred creations later I still have lots of ideas on characters that jump in my head and can't wait to be introduced to my loyal collector friends, the world over.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World!

Seems not log ago that movie was a hit....and now all these years later I've created my own Mad world.....that of the Mad Hatter, full of wonder and whimsical fun. So here he is in all his glory:
