Christmas - Hanuka - Kwanzaa....what ever you celebrate, it's a time to share tender times with family and friends be they big or miniature size!

Here at the LoreleiBlu Miniatures studio we celebrate life and all of you, be you a collector or just a fan of dolls of all sizes and their accessories. The doll world affords us many opportunities to enjoy life, more often than just living in our day to day surroundings. In my one of a kind world I can be anyone or anything I choose to be, hang out with anyone I can imagine and create new memories that often reflect back on the past. 

My special place is filled with love and laughter and my goal is to help you create your special place, surrounded by miniature people that have big personalities, small egos and help create very happy memories for you and your loved ones.

Friends of millions of folks for hundreds of years, country to country- no matter what the language, the dress or the world situation. Santa and Mrs. Claus are my one of a kind contributions to these joyous holidays. The After Halloween Party!

I hope Halloween was a grand time for all. I've got to admit that candy corn is still one of my favorites...and it's been many, many years since an ad for that has been on TV or the Internet, "WOW, it's pure sugar and a true cavity creator". 

OK back to the land or reality, it's time to check out one of my sweet and favorite dolls, her name is Jane Seagrass and she's VERY BRITISH!

She's no plain Jane in her cashmere sweater, cameo and comfy slippers

Of course during WWII a lady had to look her best, even relaxing

Jane has her kitty and her tea to keep her warm until her husband returns safely

I have a love for the 1940's that spans from England to Chicago and back. Halloween...the Crescendo!

Yep....it has arrived, the night of nights, the friends of past are here at last! And what better way to welcome them back then with candy and cookies and Kitkats, OH MY!

So I'm making this one short so we can all freshen up our makeup and go scare the heck out of the neighbors....or whoever you hang out with on this night of nights.

Wanted to take a moment to say THANKS to these old pals who scared the Holy H#@% out of us as kids many years back: 

The Three Amigos of fear and fright from the past...can you get their names right?

Then their's my creation of fear and fright today - Hecate' Dragonblood

And let us not forget the fantastic writers that took away our sleep, like Poe & King

So I'll say to you my collectors and friends of the miniature world....my creations are small in size and larger than life in spirit. Be safe and grab that moon to share with others you know, that get it.

It's more than the season of the Witch...........so I have created the Vampire Count and I had the time of my life doing it. It's kind of like writing a romance novel. Creating my characters the way I want them to look.....to present the feeling and flavor of what I choose at the moment.

At that moment when I created Count Morpheus Rex I had the vision of a Vampire that you'd feel good about when you sat and shared a nice glass of RED wine...of course! And then when the chat went to "what blood type are you my dear" you'd excuse yourself from the table and bolt out the door! OK, you get the point....now meet the Count:

Spooky Town5 Boo

This is a hauntingly delicious time of the month.....just 3 days to the one and only Halloween. And if you turn on just about any channel on your tele you'll be scared on a 24/7 basis with the wealth of horror films and special "live with the dead"shows...weird, eh!

Well in honor of all these activities I've created a "live with the dead who visit the living" character of my own just for the collector that enjoys the spirit world. Here name is Lillith and she's a beautiful ghost. Feast your eyes on her:

Do you know where the expression "ride like the wind" comes from? Well I'll let you in on a little secret, the broom has been around for centuries and after all those many years I'm still making them the same way as back then.....by hand, of fine natural wood found in the forest, seasoned straw from the fields, and one at a time. 

Think about it, no respectable Witch would be without one. And my latest new friend put her order in and tested it out just days ago, right outside the LoreleiBlu Miniature Studio in beautiful moonlit Las Vegas!

Windup to Spooky Town!

It was just the other day that one of my collectors asked me where I come up with my ideas to create from the bazaar to the beautiful and all things in between. My answer.....my dreams lead my way!

I'm very fortunate to have a vivid imagination.....have had since I was a kid and I put it to work for me every time I sit at my studio console to create!. From the fantasy side of life to the real 40's and 50's I enjoy building my dreams in clay and then dressing them with lovely fabrics that compliment and tell the story of the character.

Here's another example....meet the one and only (drum roll please):

I can almost smell the special Witch's brew bubbling....how about  you? A little over a month before All Hallows' Eve and my staff is excited for you! Why Not....I Would!

How much is too much? So you have multiple doll houses and room boxes...me too! And you feel like there's always room for a new friend to move into your miniature world...me too! No matter how hard you rationalize you know that the old "just one more" will become "I just need a bigger space to move my new collections into".

Well "what the dickens" you say.....me too! When it comes to collecting miniatures there's nothing "mini" about wanting to grow your treasures and keep your world fresh and fun for all to enjoy. Having said that I'd like to introduce you to a Witch that's full of wonder and excitement.
